Here are a few images I took to document my self portrait, Rue of Persephone.
Starting off with a light layer of burnt sienna applied to a gesso'ed canvas, this color is my favorite to work with because it creates a warm aura to the colors in the painting when they get added.
Applying light washes of color to block in what I want parts of the painting to look like, mostly the background color I have to figure out here.
